Sachin Tendulkar to act as a corrupt MP in KRK’s next.

Often we talk about ‘pulling off a coup ‘in the cinematic world. Kamaal Rashid Khan or KRK as he is widely known in the World Cinema has done the same. He has managed to do the unthinkable.  For his next 150 crore mega flick ‘Aap ko Jala kar Raakh kar doonga – Politics on Fire’, he has signed up Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, the cricketing icon, for his film for the role of antagonist i.e. a corrupt MP.

A rather shy and introvert, KRK when contacted said ‘Well what can I say, the news is absolutely true. I was looking for a fresh face this time and it was my dear friend Saba Karim who suggested taking Sachin as a role of the antagonist.  The hero’s role will be played by yesteryear star Manoj Kumar with Vindu Dara Singh playing his son. Since this is a take on corruption, we had to take in Manoj Ji (facepalm). We have roped in Santhosh G (popular for Bajrang – the He man and Don no 1) for the action sequences. This will be a 150 crore flick and will definitely break Ra.one’s records. This will be a crime thriller. We are yet to finalize the leading lady.’

Asked if this is a sequel to his earlier smash hit DeshDrohi, he replied ‘Absolutely not. This is a completely fresh idea and Deshdrohi 2 is as of now stalled due to Katrina’s tantrums. While DD was about a man’s plight against various corrupt situations, this will look into the mind of the politician as he plays a cat and mouse game with Manoj Kumar.’

Veteran actor Manoj Kumar could not be contacted with but he has uploaded his Facebook profile picture with a just a palm which reads ‘I am back, Farah’.

Vinod Kambli, who is playing SRT’s friend in the movie, beams ‘Yes it is a meaty role and I grabbed it with my both hands. It is an emotional role and since I am natural in front of the camera when it comes to tears (hinting at his performances in WC 96 and Sach Ka Samna), this will definitely boost my flagging career in Bollywood. I was also offered Agent Vinod before Saif but I refused due to date issues.’ Kambli was last seen in the 2009 blockbuster Pal Pal Dil ke Saath.

Meanwhile, we managed to contact Sachin Tendulkar at his Bandra residence and this is what he had to say:
‘Well, it is really not a big thing. I am quite excited by the offer given to me by KRK. Since I will be joining the Rajya Sabha soon and given the perfectionist I am, this role will definitely help me in getting into the zone and understand the world of politics. KRK is a legendary actor; second only to Rajnikanth ji in terms of fan following and I have seen his earlier work Deshdrohi which reminded me of Dev Sahib’s cricket saga ‘Awwal Number’. I am anyways thrashed by the public for every move I do, every run I score or do not score, so let me see how I am accepted by them in their expected avatar of mine. This is an ideal start to my Bollywood career‘

But what about cricket then?

‘Of course cricket is my life and passion and I will keep playing it. I have cut down on advertisements, since Luminous batteries are running long enough and do not need to be shown again and again, while Amit builders are anyways busy in giving homes to my ‘ to be neighbors’. Also Jaypee cement lasts long too. All my ads are solid ones like my career and hence I can now concentrate on my filmy career.’

Sachin will be seen playing a corrupt MP who bends the laws of politics to gain power and respect.

Raghu of Roadies fame also appears in the starcast. He tweets on his account @Laasheinbichchukihai –

‘KRK, SRT and me. This is Roadie Rathore for me. Hair transplant free from KRK, ye!’.

The film goes on floor from May onwards and will be released in English, Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Sanskrit, Hebrew, Chinese, Punjabi, Kashmiri and various available languages.
